Gabe Hanvey is a London-based DOP working across commercial, editorial and branded projects in fashion, music and art. Born in Toronto and raised in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, Gabe came to cinematography through image-making, first through skateboarding and surfing before moving into more art and fashion-focused work. His visual approach is naturalistic and pictorial, focused on capturing subtle changes in his subjects and locations. He has worked with Julia Fox, Amy Taylor, Fontaines D.C. and Sampha. Recent clients include Country Road, Afterpay, Uniqlo, Myer, Target, Fluff and the National Gallery of Victoria, alongside commissioned projects for Comme des Garçons, Armani Beauty, YSL Beauty and adidas.
